I made a Laybye 2months ago for half boots and a jean jacket, I accidentally took a size 5&6 on the boots, a lady from store called me to come into the store to rectify the mistake. I was told that because of they usually put different sizes on the front window on purpose to curb. I told her that I wanted a size 5, she assured me that when I take out my laybye I can swop for a size 5. The boot cost me R320. When I came to the till to swop the boot, the boot was out of stock, so in essence I had to take something to the equivalent of R320.00, but it had been marked down to R120.00, so I could only exhange to the value of R120.00, I purchaed a sneaker to repalce my boot that didnt fit. I had to pay an extra R30 because it was going for R150.00. in essence I have lost R200.00 just for a mistake that was never mine to begin with! I had all the proof of payments with me an the manager (male) did not even bother to listen to me and what had happened.
