I've had an Edgars account for almost 15 years now and never missed a payment. In October last year I was retrenched yet still continued to pay my instalments. In December I queried what exactly I was paying for and discovered I had a retrenchment policy for the past 7 years. I took all the relevant documentation to Gateway store who in turn forwarded it to Finrite. After 2 months of no response I went to the store again and followed up on my claim. When the consultant phoned Finrite they denied receiving any claim. In March I went to Pavillion store and explained my problem. They phoned customer care, all the consultant was bothered to do was to block my account and no assistance for my retrenchment claim. I then emailed all the documents through to Finrite, to date I have had not a single correspondence from them. In July I settled my account in full and asked for my account to be reopened. I am still waiting for somebody to contact me regarding this.
