Unpaid insurance claim made two months ago

Hello Peter,

On the 28th June 2013, I lost items in my home due to a break-in. The items concerned are two wrist watches, DVD player and a cellular phone.
The DVD player and phone were not insured but the wrist watches were.
I reported the matter to the police (case 429/6/2013) and completed and insurance form with American Swiss, Southgate. The ladies at American Swiss have helped in completing all the necessary paper work.
The hold is with the insurance company 'Foschini Group Jewellery', 021 937 5574.
The last time I had any feedback was from the ladies at the shop saying that the insurers are trying to confirm the ITC number for the blocked phone. This was on the 19th August 2013.
I don't know how long it takes to confirm an ITC number for a blocked phone but I gave them the details and when I called Vodacom, they told me the phone had already been blocked.
So, what is taking Foschini Group Jewellery' so long to confirm the ITC number? I have given them all the details/information they needed so have the ladies at the shop.
The insurance company is giving me the run around. I constantly have to go to the shop to get feed back, which is my personal time.
