I placed an order via online shopping for items on special and ensured that they get delivered to me before the specials ended. The day on delivery, I received a phone call from Pick 'n Pay, around 20 minutes before my delivery time, informing me that insufficient stock was available and that only two of the items I ordered was available.
I was given two options:
1. Continue with the delivery of the only two items
2. Wait until sufficient stock is available, in this case 5 days, then reschedule a delivery date. However, delivery date after specials end, so pay normal prices
Option 1: Paying delivery charge on only two items is ridiculous.
Option 2, I placed the order because the items were on special - wouldn't have done so otherwise.
Thus, I had to cancel my order!
I am furious at the fact the online shopping website indicated that sufficient stock was available when I placed the order, but sufficient stock wasn't available on delivery date. Surely, it the website indicated that sufficient stock is available, I should still receive my order at the prices I initialled placed the order at when stock eventually becomes available?
