I got a gift card with R100 cash in this week. ( 20/08/13') and i phoned the Checkers toll free customer care line. They kindly confirmed the R100 on the card. So this morning i decided to use my gift voucher at Checkers Canal Walk. The girl at the till tried several times to swipe the card and it wouldn't work, so i said to her that I'll pay with cash.
So i went to the Info" (whatever the use?) trying to sort this out.
After 30 min there no solution but to tell me they cant help me today, I have to call the Helpline tomorrow.
My question, "What's the use of being open on a Sunday and there no available system to fix my problem on the time that's convenient for me? "
this was the first Checkers gift card I've ever used (or tried to) and also the first that a gift card has ever given me such kind of problem.
There no thanks but unsatisfactory in this situation.
