A most unhappy shopping experience, we spent over 1 hour 15 minutes in the store buying lunch - you really do need to Pray when you Pick!
At lunch time, on Saturday 17 August the wife and I decided to pop into Pick 'n Pray, 4 of us need to be fed.
The wife checked through the till, swiped her debit card, entered her pin and the till froze. New system says Rebecca who calls the Supervisor. Much tapping of the till screen and head shaking. After 15 minutes, I asked Rebecca to call the manager.
Gene arrives, ignores us, chats to Rebecca and gets on the phone. 25 minutes later, the Pick 'n Pay help center, cuts him off. "You just have to be patient, it takes time" he tells us. He redials and speaks to "Somebody".
Manager Sarel wanders past, no introduction or acknowledgement of us, a cursory glance in our direction, a discussion with Gene, and Sarel wandered off.
After waiting for 45 minutes, Kim, tells Gene that the transaction was voided.
Pick 'n Pay management!
Both Sarel and Gene missed a golden opportunity to REDRESS THE CUSTOMERS BAD SHOPPING EXPERIENCE!
Sort of indicates why the Pick 'n Pay market share is going south?
