On Thursday 8th August 2013, I decided to give Shoprite a try. I bought various items and meat produce. The sell by date on the meat produce is 11th August 2013. This morning 10th August 2013, I decided to prepare the burger patties which I bought on the mentioned date for my family. When I opened the packaging the product had an awful odour. This was clearly not fit for human consumption, I immediately removed all the meat produce which I bought at Shoprite from my refridgerator. I would rather stay with my prefered retailer and pay the premium price than have ching ching change in my pocket and a sick family. I will never shop at Shoprite again...
