I recently purchase items from woolworths sandton and the went to Cresta store the following day to exchange for another size. The result of the transaction necessitated a credit to me but I was told that although I paid cash through my Credit Card or the items, I could only receive a Woolworths Voucher for the credit due.
I even offered that they credit my Credit Card but it was rejected.
Is that a fair exchange, no because it means that I will have to spend my Voucher @ Woolworths, this does not give me the option to choose where I would like to spend the credit.
To avoid a delay and being sensitive I accepted the gift voucher for the said credit but I believe this is not clearly articulated by Woolworths and should not be allowed.
I intend taking this further to ensure this unfair practice is stopped. Woolworths should provide Customers with Cash as a credit or credit the Customers Credit Card/Chq Card or Debit Card.
