My wife have a woolworths loan account. In January 2013 we changed banking details and requested woolworths to change debit order details and all relevant documentation was sent to them as proof of banking account and permission that the debit order can be deducted from the new account. since then it has been an endless fight as it just never gets done causing us to go to a woolworths branch to deposit funds. eventually I let it be transferred to the collections department in the hope they would make the changes, and nothing, still the endless fight. I requested that the account be transferred to a 3rd party company in order to have this achieved, yet, this is still an issue and banking details are simply not being updated and debit orders not going through.
It has now been 8 months and absolutely no luck. Woolworths, this is very bad service from your side, and failure to resolve this will force me to take this issue to the news papers and take further steps.
