I am looking for a specific engagement ring so that I can propose to my girlfriend of 5 years.
I went to the Brooklyn mall American Swiss where the staff where very unfriendly and after about a 10 minute wait told me they didn't have the ring. They then didn't even offer to tell me which branch had stock of this ring, so I left. I emailed American Swiss and complained and requested they let me know which store stocks the ring.
Eventually a lady called Gail replied to me and said the store in Benoni Lakeside had 1 ring and she asked if I would like it kept aside for me, to which I said Yes please I would appreciate that. When I went to American Swiss in Benoni today once again the service was slow and the staff where unfriendly. They then told me they didn't have the ring I wanted and had booked as it was sent to Pretoria the previous day.
Its not every day you walk into a store looking to buy that special someone a ring, and I have now done it twice at two different American Swiss stores and been very disappointed on both occasions. Especially considering I was assured a ring was kept aside for me.
