EDGARS BAD ATTITUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS

I am so disappointed in Edgars. I have had an account with them for many years, have never missed one payment. Was in credit for about 5 or 6 months, and because of me being in credit they stopped sending me statements. I started buying on my account again and in April I "spent" the last of my credit so I owed R289.62. They still didn't send a statement. I know I was wrong in not checking my credit, but shouldn't they send me a statement too. Just received a letter now that my "payment history" is with the credit bureaux, (this is not my bad spelling, that is how it appears on the letter). totally disgusting. Surely if they really checked my "payment history" like they claimed in the letter, they would have seen that there must be some or other misunderstanding. Like I say, I admit I should have checked, but I really expected better treatment than that of a common criminal.

Truworths with whom I also have an account for many many years sends me an sms every month and a statement, regardless weather I am in debit or credit, to remind me of my instalment.
