I received a scarve in June as a gift purchased from Truworths. Due to my skin being sensitive the scarve iritates it and I would prefer a softer fabric.
I tried to exchange the gift at Truworths at the Galleria branch and was told by the Manager Nathan Perumal on 6 July that the gift cannot be exchanged as it is their policy that I have to produce a slip or ask the person that bought the gift for the slip. I have to enquire if she paid cash for it or purchased it on her account. How ridiculous is that? What type of a consumer policy is that? The tag is still on the garment without the price and has never been worn or washed. When the code of the garment was punched in it reflected that it is indeed their garment.
This is an eye opener to myself and other customers I will make sure that I will never shop there.
