I received a phone call from Truworth's collections agents in march notifying me I have an outstanding debt opened on 17/08/2012. I advised the collections agent I was not aware of such an account, as at the time I was unemployed and had no sizeable income. Added to that I had never lost an ID
I checked my profile against Transunion and found that Truworths was the only credit provider that granted the credit. I was requested by Truworth's to draft an affidavit and have it stamped by SAPS which I did, then faxed it to them.
I then contacted my lawyers who were later advised by Truworths that the matter was confidential and would only speak to me. I later received a letter from Truworths notifying me that they attempted to reach but could not get hold me. I honestly do not have the money to call and hold on the line with them.
I thought the matter was resolved till i tried to open line rental account for my small business and I failed to get the line because the security check questions prompted i answer questions about the Truworth's account.
Truworths has NOT sent the copy of the application, ID, cleared my name, or further communicated with me regarding resolution
