My mother and father in law got food poisoning from chicken sausages from the Spar in Hilary a few days ago. They were both very sick for about 2 days from it. When my father in law went back to the store to complain, and to bring it to the managers attention to prevent future cases of food poisoning, the manager was incredibly rude to him!
He first told him that the store did not stock that product, my FIL then proceeded to show it to him on the shelf. He seemed so surprised that they stocked it. He then said that Spar didn't make the sausages so it wasn't their fault that my MIL and FIL received food poisoning from them. Why is Spar stocking items that are off, or have something wrong with them? YES it IS their fault!! It may not have been intentional, but at the very least they should apologize since the products were bought from their store!! Cannot believe how rude and inconsiderate this manager was to the elderly especially!! Take some responsibility Spar! We would all like to trust the food we buy from you. Otherwise perhaps we should start shopping somewhere that does prioritise the good stock in their store and does care about their customer's wellbeing.
