On Wednesday 05/06/2013 at around 17h50 I went to Shoprite Southdale. I then went to pay for my items and as I left the store, the female security guard asked to search my bag. I asked her why she said she "wants to see something". Perplexed I opened my handbag and showed her the contents. She then said, ok and looked away. I asked her why she didnt check other customers bags as they passing us by without the search routine. She said it is because my bag was open. The front part of my bag doesnt close. I told her it doesnt close and also that Im not a I do not. She looked away, no apology, nothing! She did not even check the items I bought to see against the till slip. I was embarrassed and my dignity stripped away by an untrained woman. Im a professional in my field with two tertiary degrees. Im so hurt, I moved to the Southdale area in 1997 and have been shopping there ever since, how dare she assumes I would and place something in my bag! I am so angry and hurt! I have NEVER anything in my life, its beneath me and to be accused and associated of such is vulgarity to my nature! Dont work on presumption - a serious training is in order or else no customers!
