Cash payment not deducted off my account

On the 04 May 2013 I made a payment of R1640 at the Cresta Branch of Truworths. I have the proof of payment. However, as soon as I made the payment the entire computer system froze. Then a week later I got a phone call from Truworths Head Office in Cape Town demanding payment. I gave them the Transaction Number on my proof of payment but the next day they called again and started texting me to pay. I got in contact with Mickey Solomon who asked me to fax through the proof of payment. The texting requesting payment did not stop and then the after hours calls from collections started! Mickey Solomon asked me then to please fax through the proof of payment to Patrick who is the Admin Manager at the Cresta Branch so that he could sort out the dilemma. I thought it was sorted as I received a text message from Truworths requesting that I pay an amount but no arrears were reflected. I went to Cresta yesterday and now my account is on hold! Please help! I am at my wits end as no one seems able to help! It was embarrassing as I wanted to make a payment for this month and buy additional items and could not! I sincerely hope this has not affected my credit rating!
