On Sat 25/05/2013 @12:26 I approached the cashier to pay, no hello nothing (most of them don't anyway) she asked for my Smart Shopper card in her home language I assume, could have been tswana, venda or whatever I don't know. I said "I beg your pardon" to indicate my language preference as I only speak Zulu and I understand that the professional medium of conversing is English which I use all the time considering how diverse this country is. She continued speaking her language and made a long comment in her language staring at me, the cashier next to her laughed. I looked at her dissaprovingly and she gave me a staredown, and went on talking to her cashier friend, to that woman I didn't exist, she didn't care that I shop (all the time) at pick & pay, I was just a nuisance to her, on her "valuable" job on such a fine Saturday., I didn't want to cause drama, I was with my daughter and her teenage friends but as a customer such rude behaviour can not be tolerated.
