Card blocked for no reason

I've been trying to book a flight for my mom with Mango Airlines, using an Edgars Card, on Friday, 17 May. She's an Edgars Club card member, currently allowing a 20 % discount. I was unsuccessful many times with the discount. When she made a call to customer services on 19 May she was told that her card number doesn't exist and that she had to go to one of the stores to verify the card number. This was nonsense as I used the same number when I made an Internet booking for a flight 3 weeks before. When first purchasing a gift at Boardmans using her account card, the cashier at Boardmans told her that her card was blocked and that the transaction failed. It was a very humiliating experience for her as she knew that there was no reason for Edgars to block her card. On Monday morning she called the accounts department to query it and was told that it was done because she failed to confirm her physical address! She's been a client for approx 35 years and has never received any notification or sms to FICA at Edgars. What a disgrace to block a card for this reason!! Will Edgars now block my card as well because I was also not informed to FICA? Edgars, this was unfair treatment!
