I was informed at the till that my card was blocked. At customer services their response was to ask for my physical address. When I asked why they now needed this I was brusquely informed that everyone has to do this. I then waited, without explanation, whilst the woman phoned someone. After a while I was put on the phone with someone else who started to ask for personal information. This person was unintelligible and I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. Apparently Edgars have decided to update their database. They should update their staff customer training first. At the very least you should take the time to inform the client what is happening, and possibly apologise for the inconvenience you are causing them. I will not tolerate being spoken to like they are doing me a favour by talking to me. Well, congratulations Edgars, after 30 years of having an good account with you (I have always paid my account on time and even ahead of time), you can now consider it closed. I have no wish to deal with your staff and their attitude anymore.
