We purchased a leather couch at Coricraft to the value of R11 000 in 2009, a beautiful dark brown leather, corner unit. Much to our shock and disappointment we noticed the leather on the couch was starting to peel off. We immediately contacted the Canal Walk store where the couch was purchased, who sent an assessor out. We were informed that the couch was imported and that it only had a 1 year guarantee attached to it. The couch was not 100% leather and this must have been explained to us when we bought the couch. Firstly, why on earth would we spend R11 000 on a couch that is not of the highest quality? Secondly, why should the customers of Coricraft have to bear the brunt for the poor procurement decisions that they make? We bought the couch at Coricraft because we trusted their brand. Coricraft put their name on it and they should take accountability for it. This is not the first time we bought a product from them which had dodgy quality. Why does Coricraft think they have the right to charge a premium for their inferior products? You are throwing money down the drain when you purchase their products. I have been referred to leather aid for assistance... pathetic service!
