In October 2012 we were advised to FICA our Edgars account. My husband, a very busy man, took the time to go to Edgars Church Street, Pretoria, to do the necessary. They called me, as second cardholder, to verify my details and I e-mailed everything through to them. During March, our account was blocked... apparently it hasn't been FICA'd... so we went at it again, after it was established that the documents were 'lost'. We went to Edgars Kolonnade, Montana to sort it out... this we did twice, after which the account remained blocked for some bizarre reason. I complained on Facebook and was contacted by Vanessa, Credit Manager at Church street who dealt with the issue quite professionally. I sent the details again and she FICA'd it personally... but the next week the account was blocked again. Vanessa proceeded to complain to other 'higher up' officials and eventually it was discovered that the whole thing was a 'system problem' so after rectifying that, the account seemed fine. I used my card on Wednesday, 15 May and again on Thursday, 16th May... surprise, surprise, when I went to buy my children's winter wardrobe on Friday, 17th May, the account was blocked again.
