On 2 occasions whilst I was eating my Kellogg's All Bran Flakes, I discovered a metal staple in my cereal. Once at the bottom of the bowl, the other whilst eating. A very unpleasant experience biting on a metal object. I do not keep my cereal in the box, I decant it into my Tupperware container, hence I didn't have evidence of the batch number or bar code.
I notified Kellogg's via their website. After many emails advising the complaint would be investigated, I receive a letter ref 026639226A from Zandile Nkosi, Consumer Affairs Consultant, thanking me for notifying them of the "alleged distressing incident" which I "allegedly experienced"!!! "However, they cannot help with the alleged incident as I have no evidence of the sample". I was in no way notifying them of the incident based on the fact that I may receive a whole supply of Kellogg's All Bran Flakes as compensation. I only wanted to bring it to their attention in light of any other complaints. I am disgusted with the manner in which they insinuated my "alleged incident", as if I was being called a. It is fair to say I will think twice about purchasing Kellogg's products in the future.
