Bought hiking shoes on recommendation from the professional salesman at Salomon Shop (Canal Walk) on 11.04.2013. Went hiking on the 14th. When I put on the shoes I felt an excruciating pain in my left foot on the left side (behind my small toe), but felt it was new shoes and probably needed to be walked in. For the last km of the hike, the shoe hurt me so bad that I took off the shoes and walked bare feet. Still reckoned that it's a new shoe and needed to be walked in.
After 3 weekends of walking, today on the 12th I went into Salomon shop (Canal Walk) to enquire what the cause could be. WHAT A JOKE. I am 37 years old and VERY sure what shoe size I wear. To be told by a 'so-called' professional sales person that I bought the wrong size shoe is humiliating. He asked me to fit a size bigger shoe. Then he went on to measure my feet, and came to the conclusion that I did in fact purchase the correct size shoe. It was then decided by the salesman that it must be that my foot is just not compatible with that specific make of shoe. Which he also informed me is not or hiking purposes, but trial running. As there is no problem with the shoe-its my problem. I am left with R1400 paperweight.
