Mix Telematics Africa (Matrix Vehicle Tracking)
Trying to collect where no-service was rendered

I got into a three year contract with Matrix then sold the car after two years. I called matrix for a cancellation, but was informed that I could not because I signed a three year contract. I informed matrix that I understood and will continue making payments until the contract expiry date (I was also informed that the conversation was recorded.) I cancelled the bank debit order with matrix and made manual payments (internet transfers) as promised until the expiry date (2012 October). After the contract expiry date, Matrix attempted to debit my account - I called them to enquire about this, and was informed of a clause in the contract that says I have to inform them of my intention to cancel. I asked them to check their records then reversed the transaction at the bank. Two months later Matrix changed the debit order codes and attempted to debit my account again. I called them and could not get thru. I reversed the transaction again. Today I received a call from a collector company that has been mandated by Matrix to recover money that is in arrears. Matrix!! why do you want to be PAID for services you have not rendered?
