In January I received a call from a Matrix consultant saying my current tracking unit was faulty and that they needed to send a technician to replace it with a new one. This was done but I was never informed that I was starting a new contract which would last 3 years. On the 11th Feb 2013 I sent a letter of cancellation as I had sold my vehicle. I received a letter saying my contract just began and that I had to pay R4000. This was shocking news to me as I was never made aware that I started a new contract. I believe that I was misinformed and mislead into something I did not understand. I have since complained and had the unit removed from the car I sold. The unit is currently with Matrix fitment center and I am still being billed after unsuccessful feedback from Mixtelematics since 14 February. I am totally unhappy about the service as this matter drags too long to be resolved. Consultants/sales people must stop giving wrong information to customers just to have them agree to such contracts without revealing important information.
