I had car insurance with 1st for women, the package was inclusive of a tracking device from altech netstar. The arrangements was made by the insurance company to install this device, not by me. My account was debited by my insurance, the payment was including the amount for the tracking device, which they then later pay to altech. I never dealt with netstar once, i had business with the insurance company the insurance company had business with them. I called 1st or women aug/sep 2011 to cancel my insurance, which they did. Today i received an email that Altech netstar that they have taken legal action against me for not paying my account. The total amount i owe them is about R4500, this amounts include R945 that im apparently in arrears with 18 months that was left of the contract. I had no contract with altech whatsoever how come i have to pay, i had a contract with my insurance, not with Altech. Please explain to me why i should be paying for something that should've been cancelled when i cancelled my insurance. Im mentioning again "IT WAS A INSURANCE PACKAGE". I am not the 1st person to have this problem, clearly altech have problem that you need to deal with asap.
