Mix Telematics Africa (Matrix Vehicle Tracking)
Cellphone number mix-up

Hi,

I live in the Western Cape and have a MTN internet stick. The cellphone number used for this stick (0837766075) seems to be the same as a cellphone number registered for a vehicle with the licence plate BB05ZYGP at Matrix Mix Telematics. Whenever this vehicle enters a "High Risk Zone", I receive a notification on my MTN sms inbox.

This has been going on for more than a year and despite efforts to contact the several cell numbers (083930012384177/083930012384179/083930012384181 etc.) from which these messages are being sent, no effort has been made to try and rectify the situation. I have never been a client of Mix Telematics and do not understand why I receive these messages. Clearly the vehicle owner must have the same number as my internet stick so I hope there is a solution for this problem.

Could someone please do something about it? It's extremely irritating and unacceptable.

An example of the messages I receive:
