I inherited an ADT system when i moved into my house about three weeks back and have never had an uninterrupted sleep ever since. When set to monitor specific rooms at night - the alarm system randomly goes on, waking up only to find its a false alarm. I have informed the call center agents when they call that the system is faulty and have had the phone hang up on me.
A technician was sent over to a week back to check the system as this is a new contract and he identified that the battery was faulty and we needed to pay some amount to have it fixed. I refused to pay and had to call a Sales Agent (Sthembiso Dlodlo) who professionally handle the case and came back ot me to inform me that the system is rented out to me an no amount needed to be paid.
Today i attempted to report the faulty alarm system and i was told by a very disrepectful caller center agent that i need to pay its not ADT fault.
So my question is: I am a three/four week client and so far it has been a painful experience, do you want my business or must i take my business somewhere?
I think ADT core business is not safety and security its more like a financial institution.
