ADT Service and their staff are arrogant

On the 13th January 2014, I called ADT to find out if I can pay them for the whole year in advance. I was told by a lady called Ntswaki that I could do that and she gave me the amount I had to pay. I then paid R5833 on the 14th January 2014. On the 27th January a debit order for R 583 went off on my account. I called Ntswaki who was so arrogant and told me that the R5833 that I had paid was from Feb 2014 to Feb 2015. This is not what was discussed on the 13th Jan. Be that as it may, I cancelled my contract and was told I have to give a month's notice. I then asked that they rather deduct the Feb fee from what I had paid already and refund the rest. The next thing I get told I must wait 4 to 6 weeks for my refund. Why must I wait for 6 weeks, especially if they're not refunding me interest as well. The staff that I speak to are arrogant and the customer service at ADT.
