Tracker Connect Complaint

In October 2012 just after purchasing a new car I had requested that tracker transfer ownership (to me) of their unit that was already installed in that vehicle.
They had told me that the transfer was done but they forced me to install a new unit into that car (even though the current unit was still functioning).
Now that I have sold that vehicle and want to cancel my account they want me to pay a large settlement value.

I disagree with this since the unit that was installed and functioning perfectly in the vehicle, but tracker and my then insurance company insisted that I have an active tracker installed.

Please assist.
