ADT mailed out some specials on remotes. I called and ordered a specific remote and the order was taken and quoted by Kevin.
Yesterday, Donald came and delivered the two remotes and programmed them. He programmed different and far more expensive remotes to the ones I ordered. I was quoted R928.00 and when I got home last night, I found a bill for R1296.00.

I called this morning to log a complaint and spent about an hour on three different calls to three different people, none of whom had a clue what I was talking about.. I eventually spoke to Donald the technician who had come out, and he ended up telling me that my system wasn't compatible with the remotes I had initially ordered so he had given me other ones, and said that he would get Robert Hood (I think that was the name) to call me to sort it out.

I am still waiting...

ADT's call centres are a disgrace as a rule. I never seem to get a person that speaks sufficiently good English to understand me and I hate to think what would happen if I had an emergency on my hands.
It seems to me that ADT is always ready to take my money but once they have it, it is impossible to get any kind of service whatsoever!
