ADT installed a beam in front of a bedroom window at my house, also moving another beam to the garage.
On completion of the installation the technician (Mandla) phoned me to tell me that he couldn't get my motor gate closed. Nobody gave him permission but he took it on himself to disengage my electric gate motor and open the motor gate manually. The work to be undertaken would have resulted in a 5 meter walk if using the pedestrian gate, so no wonder.
By 19h00 that evening NOTHING on the alarm system worked, the whole system went blank, even the wall console was dead. The fault was later corrected by a very helpful technician called Willem.
Ever since the installation, the garage beam would trigger periodically, 5 times per day. I logged a call with Witbank Technical Department and a booking was made by a technician called Richard, who failed to show for the appointment.
The garage beam keeps activating the alarm - 10 times a weekend, and causes undue reaction from the Emergency Response team.
ADT Armed Response is EXCELLENT.
ADT TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT IS USELESS!!!
