Last year, my boyfriend and I moved into a flat, and had ADT come in to activate the alarm system. We then moved out of the flat, and I now live in Johannesburg while my boyfriend moved into a new flat in Port Elizabeth to complete his masters. We wanted to cancel the alarm system, however we were told that we had signed a two year contract and ultimately it would cost us more to cancel it. We have asked on numerous occasions to have the account suspended and no one has gotten back to us. We have also received various messages about the alarm not being on due to power failures. My boyfriend has recently again asked to be contacted with regards to a cancellation/suspension of our account and is still waiting! The latest email was sent on the 30th of July and he was told that the appropriate person will be in contact! He is still waiting!!
