ADT Refuse To Correct Their Contractor's Errors

I installed an alarm system with ADT over three and a half years ago. Recently I was getting false alarms which I assumed were being set off by my dogs even though I had pet friendly sensors installed in my house. I then contacted ADT to arrange for a technician to come and investigate the reasons for the false alarms which the duly did. Upon investigating the sensors in my house they politely advised me that the pet friendly sensors that were originally installed weren't ADT standard sensors. I proceeded to ask that as it was their contractor who installed the non standard sensors they should replace them with the correct pet friendly sensors. They advised me that if I wanted the correct sensors installed I would have to pay for it. Numerous calls to ADT technical area and ADT still insist I have to pay for the installation of the correct sensors. I fail to understand why I have to pay to correct ADT's error. Beware when installing a security system as it appears that you cannot be guaranteed that the correct standard equipment is going to be installed. I will be cancelling my agreement with ADT shortly.
