I have had a tracker for almost a year - requirement at the time from Outsurance, or pay increased premiums. The tracker was supposed to self test, but I could never get any proof that it works. After MANY phone calls, emails, conflicting information, Tracker admitted that their system was not working, and refunded my premiums.
The problem is that Outsurance (& all the others) put the burden of proof on the customer to prove that the tracker is working - ALL THE TIME (even proof from yesterday is not recent enough). If you can't, your claims are rejected. In other words, the very item that Outsurance insisted on would have been used against me if I had needed to claim. Be Warned.
The twist in the tale is that when I called Outsurance to complain about this tracker I was forced to have, they arranged for a waiver (don't need a tracker) for a REDUCED premium. Clearly Tracker is not in their good books anymore.
