NO armed response, different stories

We armed the house and went out. We returned about 1 1/2 hours later to find that the alarm was still activated, but the front door (with alarm contact) was broken open. Items were taken from our home. We deactivated the alarm and pressed the panic button. There was no response. I spent 30 minutes on the emergency call line (posted on the ADT boards), and eventually reached someone. When I told her my name, she said that there was an activation and that she was sending a team. I was referred to another person, that said that there was no activation, and so no response.
I pay for armed reaction, which I did not get. I believe this is a breach of contract and do not feel safe under ADT service. I wish to cancel my contract. I am having EXTREME difficulty contacting any department from ADT and would appreciate a response. I am also told that my password is not valid, whereas I have the carbon copy of the document with the password on it.
