I want to know where Wonga is originated as when one calls, it sounds like speaking with someone in overseas. I personally think Wonga is too good to be true as once you apply for a loan, they start harassing you with calls and text messages even if the arrangement has been made. We made a loan of R1500 with Wonga twice and paid it before time.
On the third time, we loaned R2500, but didn't manage to pay, however we made arrangements to pay part of it at the end of the month. We nearly lost our minds, because of the calls and text messages from Wonga threatening us with lawyers. I think something needs to be done through South African law or a research on whether Wonga is legally operating in the best interest of the people.
I mean, we paid the first amount of R1500, but with the outstanding amount it seems we will end up paying for more than what was our loan amount. This is robbery. Where is Wonga originated? Who is behind this reap off? because something does not smell right here and there's too much complaints about Wonga.
