In November of 2013, I was out of town and my monthly payment was delayed by 2 days - I immediately paid and contacted DSTV who advised that all is now in order and my suspended account was re-activated.
Now, more than 3 months later, my account is suspended once again with the November Reconnection fee of R50 still unsettled contrary to what I was told when I contacted the Call Centre to advise them that the usual monthly payment has been done
I contacted DSTV and advised that I refuse to pay a reconnection fee for being 2 days late on my payment - a first time that there was a delay from my side - I have even paid the entire year upfront to avoid a situation like this again and you still have the audacity to suspend my account - what utter nonsense is that.
It's absolutely absurd that DSTV charge you a reconnection fee for being late by a day or 2 - I blatantly refuse to pay it.
Maybe we should reverse the roles and I charge out DSTV every time there is a service disruption that's unforeseen just like the situation of the unforeseen delay from my side - OH! and lets not talk about how much of telephonic expense you have incured me trying to get hold of a consultant.
