I get charged R695 for one months PVR viewing, and I've arranged to make payment on the 25th of each month. For the past 3 months I have been making payment on the 28th, been disconnected on 2 occasions, and been charged R50 reconnection... Month after month???
If and when DSTV disconnects me they do NOT charge me a pro rata amount of R695 - disconnected days, but bill the FULL amount of R695 50 reconnection fee... Really now??? So how come they don't charge R695 less the disconnected days???
I have been a loyal customer since the inception of DSTV and take exception to being punished for paying 3 days later, but still paying within the viewing period... its not enough we have to watch repeats and re-runs, and DSTV charging us a huge sum of money every month, they do not have the decency to afford you a phone call to find out if you're struggling to pay on the agreed date? And when you call in to explain that you cannot make the agreed date, they say "its automatic, the system decides". Really Now???
SO, if 1 million viewers pay later than the agreed payment date, and Multichoice charges R50 per reconnection, this brings in R50 million rand extra per month?? Legally??
