Is my personal information being sold?

I just got a call from a company trying to market their services to me. When I asked them how they got my information, the person claimed that they got my number from a list of DSTV subscribers which was given to them by DSTV

How much did you sell my information for? Can I also get a cut of the deal?

I did not authorize your organisation to distribute my personal contact information.
