My wife and I went to watch a movie at Musgrave Ster Kinekor last night. We arrived at the cinema complex 15 minutes prior to the start of our movie at 8pm.
The concessions counter was a disaster zone. Firstly, only one of the 2 counters were open. The 3 staff members manning the counters were, without any exaggeration, the slowest cashiers/servers I have ever encountered. The was no Slush Puppy ice at the counter, so whenever a customer ordered Slush Puppy, the incredibly slow staff member would have to stroll to the other counter to retrieve some ice.
After finally getting some snacks 20 minutes later, I go to spice the popcorn, only to find that most of the spice canisters had nothing but rice in them.
I dont know the business model of SK, but it seems that either there is no manager to oversee operations, or they are asleep.
This experience has severely tainted my image of Ster Kinekor. Unfortunately the consumer is limited in choice for movie houses. SK should not stop people from bringing in outside food to the movie if your service at the counters is so terrible. If you are going to rob people with outrageous pricing, at least provide efficient service while us
