Ster Kinekor Irene Desperately Understaffed

I went on the 18th of May to watch The Great Gatsby. I purchased tickets from the automatic machines and received a voucher for 3D glasses.

At 7:50pm we arrived to watch the movie and were greeted by an insanely long queue to both the snack counter and normal food counter. We stood in the queue for 10 minutes and after only moving 2m forward thought it was a waste of time given there were only 2 staff serving patrons. We decided to leave the beverages. The ticket lady told us that we needed to collect our 3D glasses. My ticket said to collect them from the snack counter (which had a long queue and was being manned by 1 person). We waited in the queue and once we got to the front were told the glasses were to be collected from the ticket counter.

After waiting there for 10 minutes we were told by the 1 person manning the counter of 5 terminals that we didn't have to wait in the queue. (No signage anywhere indicated this) Once we entered the cinema my girlfriend decided she would go try the beverage queue again. She waited for 25 minutes before getting served and missed the first 10 minutes of the movie. Given the cost of the evening (R180) this was all very disappointing.
