When we arrived at Huurkors office the keys was not available, they arranged for the unit to be opened by a locksmith. The unit was is a terrible state and they offered to refund us the total amount paid to date. We were desperate and moved in. We took pictures of the place and mailed it to Huurkor, hoping they would help us once they see what it looked like, but the owner did not approve the quote huurkor obtained. We also completed the checklist to say what was wrong with the place. So we moved in and painted the whole unit ourselves replaced the window, removed the rubbish from the garage. We negotiated with the owner, and he wanted to claim the amount from the previous tenant deposit, but the pervious tenant`s deposit was already depleted for unpaid rent ect. We vacated the unit 27Nov12 after it was sold, but the owner only gave permission to Huurkor to refund our deposit on 9Jan13. Huurkor has been corresponding with us regarding the refund of our Deposit, to date our deposit has not yet been paid, but Huurkor assured us after all the facts were corrected on Hello Peter they will refund our Deposit.
