We cancelled our Lease agreement on the 30/11/2012 and as per our lease agreement the deposit should be paid within 14days. The 14days passed without being contacted by the agent. I ended up making follow ups at my expense but she never bothered getting back to me up until I sent her a threatening e-mail 52days after the lease cancelation. She responded the following day with damages to the property. She's claiming "bedrooms have to be repainted"&"Mixer in bathroom has to be replaced". I rejected these charges simply because when we entered the unit it was not new and it was not repainted&I reported the bathroom mixer which was not fixed at the time. Now we're being held responsible for this. I also believe we should have been present when the unit was being inspected. It 53 day later who knows the damages they talking about could have been coursed by the new tenants. They've breached our agreement. I believe it is our right to claim the full deposit &to claim it with interest. I believe we are being treated like this because it a family business, the agent (Melanies Watson) knows nothing will happen to her. She can do as she likes
