In July we moved into a property rented out by Only rentals. We viewed the unit twice, on both occasions I asked the Agent if the unit was set up for PVR when we did the entry inspection I asked him in front of a witnesses and he informed me it was, based on that information, we went out and bought a PVR decoder only to discover that the unit is not set up for PVR, the building itself is though. At that point it would have cost about R1800.00 for this to be set up. I was very upset as i was miss informed by the Agent, and tried to talk to him. After many e-mails back and forth whereby the Agent admitted on paper that he did in fact tell me that the unit was PVR ready, I contacted the owner of the unit, as well as the Rental Manager and the Branch Manager, only to be told by all 3 of them that the Agent must sort it out. I got a lesser quote and even offered to pay R500.00 of my money towards fixing the problem, only for the Agent to send me a message telling me to fix the problem and he will pay me R20.00 a month. I find this insulting and un acceptable. I tried to speak to the rental manager and branch manager and no one is interested in resolving the issue.
