I rented a house from 1 July 2012 to 30 November 2012 from Bregan Properties and paid a deposit of R8000, 00. I could not occupy the place on the 1st as per contract because there were still tenants there and the place was dirty and needed thorough cleaning and painting. I only moved in on the 2nd. The garden was full of dog waste, lawn full of weeds and debri from trimmed trees. I had to hire people to clean the wholeplace. The pool was green with algae; I spent hundreds of rands to make it swimmable. They promised a dish and none was available. I had to buy a new dish. After all these; When I left in November after serving 1 monthg's notice;they refused to pay abck my deposit because they used it to repair the place. When I moved in they gave me a list to indicate thyings that need rep[airs or are broken. I filled it in and submitted it; but nothing was done. This is cheating and daylight. Bregan Properties is really bad. I have proof of the state of the in pictures when I moved in. The owner of 217 Kassia Avenue in Newlands Pretoria must remove his property from these. I need my R8000;00.
