I would like to report that i signed a 10 months lease agreement with Rental Pros last year. Part of the agreement was that I pay a deposit of R4000 upfront for damages of the unit I was renting after I leave. The agreement started in June 2012 to March 2013. I gave my land-load a 2 months notice beginning of November 2012 to say i will move out of the unit. They acknowledged my notice and said they will pay me back my deposit. I moved out of the unit on the last day of November and informed them to come and inspect it. I left the keys with the securities at the gate as instructed by my land-load. I had cleaned the unit before I left. They went and inspected it, after that they sent me a statement saying am owing -R640. They told me the wall in the bedroom was dirty the money will be used to paint the wall. The company did not pay me back my deposit of R4000 and when I told them to take the 640 from the deposit they refused and said they will take legal actions against me. I have requested them to clear my name and take whatever they say am owing from my deposit. They have not done that since.
