I rented, for a period of eight (8) months a property that is being Managed by Midcity agents. I vacated said premises on 30 April 2013 and to date I have not received my deposit money.
I contacted Midcity at precisely 35 days after my vacating their premises, with no contact whatsoever from them regarding my deposit money and Jana Robbertze said their policy is that they only pay out deposits after twenty-one (21) of a tenant vacating premises.
I sent and email again asking for my deposit and I was informed that my deposit was used to repair damages that I allegedly caused to said property; damages which were there when I moved in. When I told Jana this she said their initial inspection indicates that everything was ok with the property which I find strange because no initial inspection was done by the agent, Annette Branders, who is responsible for said property I still have the inspection form to date and so I do not know how they came to the conclusion that the premises were in a good condition to start with!
