I am in the process of purchasing a new flat in a development by Rawson properties. My decision was based upon viewing the show unit. The key was not available for the actual unit when I first went to view it. I then discovered that the unit had previously been occupied by a buyer awaiting bond approval from his bank; hence the key being unavailable at first. The units are fitted with a new oven, stove and hob. It looked great in the show flat. When I eventually got to see the actual unit for sale, it was agreed that the flat would be touched up so as to look like new. Some work has already been done but I am not satisfied with the condition of the stove. There are severe scour marks on the surface and oil marks on the plates. There are also a few scratches inside the oven. I have already approached the estate agent about this problem. I requested that Rawson supply me with a new stove, since this is what I paid for. He has referred the matter to the Directors, who have, apparently, flatly refused to give a new stove. This is hypocritical as they would not accept the stove in the condition they expect me to accept it. I am buying a new flat so I expect to get a new stove.
