I was contacted by the traffic fine recovery centre to say i had accumulated over R10k in speeding fines across both my vehicles over the last 18 months. I never received any fines via the post so didn't have physical copies of them. I went to the Randburg traffic department on the corner of Jan Smuts and Beyers Naude and they told me (after waiting ages to see someone) that i needed to go to another counter for a copy of the fines. The lady there, without looking up from her newspaper, told me i should look on PayCity for copies of my fines. When i went onto paycity they don't have all my listed fines (that was sent to me by the traffic fine recovery centre) and none have the photographs on! Now when i returned to Randburg traffic i get blank looks and told to go to the public prosecutor to resolve this?
I am now completely at a loss as I will not pay for a fine that i can't see to confirm it me been the transgressor. Any advice?
